Website Privacy

This notice explains how Captivated Ltd handles personal data in connection with the website at captivated.online (the Site). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling any personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Captivated Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15936109, with its registered office at Electric Works, 3 Concourse Way, Sheffield, S1 2BJ, United Kingdom. For any privacy question, contact us at leon@captivated.online.

What we collect

The Site is an informational website. It has no user accounts, no login, no e-commerce and no web forms, so we collect very little personal data. Specifically:

  • Information you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and the content of your message.
  • Analytics: we use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless service that produces aggregate statistics only. It does not use cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not collect data that identifies you individually.
  • Server and CDN logs: the Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process request metadata, such as IP addresses, for security, performance and content-delivery purposes, acting as our processor.

Lawful bases

We rely on our legitimate interests to operate, secure and understand the use of the Site, including keeping aggregate analytics and maintaining server and CDN logs. Where you contact us by email, we process your data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry.

How long we keep it

We keep email correspondence only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up, and then for a reasonable period for our records. Aggregate analytics contain no personal data. Cloudflare retains log data in line with its own retention practices.

Sharing and processors

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who process data on our behalf under appropriate agreements, currently Plausible Analytics (analytics) and Cloudflare (hosting and content delivery). We may also disclose data where required by law.

International transfers

Some of our processors may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as UK adequacy regulations or the International Data Transfer Agreement, to protect your data.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your personal data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have data erased; to restrict or object to processing; to data portability; and, where we rely on consent, to withdraw that consent at any time. Complaints

If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk.
